These platforms raise the floor of what's possible from a reporting perspective, but you very quickly encounter the same limitations as before since they are built for a wide audience, instead of being tailored to you.

That would require a significant investment into a minimum of three roles:

• A data engineer to build the data infrastructure (average salary $127,028).
• A business intelligence architect to build the reporting infrastructure (average salary $118,275).
• A business analyst to create reports and dashboards that can answer your business questions with data (average salary $106,257).

That's over $350,000 annually, plus benefits -- a huge amount for an SMB, plus all of the time needed to hire these roles. Besides that, you may not have work to keep them busy 100% of the time, so you're stuck paying for employees that you aren't able to fully utilize.

We accomplish this in two ways:

• A modern data tech stack is designed to handle customers that require up to petabytes of storage (that's 1 million GBs!) and can have billions of transactions a month. Amazing, but way more than a typical SMB needs. We scale these capabilities back to a level that is appropriate for our customers, making it much more affordable but still incredibly powerful.
• Our staff flexibly shares time across multiple customers, so they stay fully utilized while you only pay for a fraction of a data team (which can scale up with additional hours if needed).

In addition to the subscription cost for Minnerva, you are directly billed for the following costs:

• Data infrastructure: This is based on usage. We can calculate an estimate once we have details about your business and number of systems. Costs typically start at a few hundred dollars per month.
• Business intelligence licenses (reporting software): Based on the software chosen; as low as $3/user/month

The data analytics platform that we build is specific to you, and always 100% separate from other customers so there is never any sharing of data.

The connectors that retrieve data from your source systems are encrypted, as well as the data warehouse where data is stored. The reporting platform allows you to set permissions at the role, team, or user level to restrict what can be seen in dashboards, and downloading of reports can be restricted.

There is no limit, although you may choose not to integrate a system if the data is not needed in automated reporting (and save money)!

We use market-leading technology that powers the largest companies in the world: Amazon Web Services for data infrastructure (with backups and version control), and a variety of options for visual analytics including Tableau & QuickSight.

You'll get access to a customer service portal where you can submit requests, track progress, and keep an eye on how much monthly consulting time has been used. You can also email us directly, or schedule a meeting to discuss by phone.

No problem! Additional time is $200/hour.

You always own the data, the data warehouse, and all reports that have been created. Our access to your data platform is shut off.
